Welcome! This is the Crew 57 website! We are a high adventure BSA crew based in Bayonne, New Jersey, with members from all across the nation. Founded in January 2025, our crew is dedicated to bringing together young people who are passionate about outdoor adventure, leadership, personal development, and community service. We go on a variety of outings, from camping to airshows to concerts! In fact, you can view some photos of us down below!

Meetings: Our crew meets every Wednesday at 7:00 PM EST, both virtually and in person. Please reach out for more information!

Who can join?: We are a co-ed crew and, as per BSA standards, open to youth aged 14-21 (or 13 and completed 8th grade.) Adults over 21 in our crew serve as advisors, allowing our youth venturers to take on bigger leadership roles, develop new skills, and help shape the direction of the crew.

Where are our members from? How does everyone stay involved?: Most of the crew is from northern New Jersey, though we do have venturers from Pennslyvania, South Carolina, Texas, and California. During the off-season, far-away venturers stay involved through our virtual meetings and participate in outings with other venturers in their area. Over the summer, the crew typically meets up for two months to work on summer camp staff at Camp NoBeBoSco. We also do plan on going on Tier III adventures to different states in the future, which will provide more opportunities for the crew to get together! See below :-)

What trips do we plan on going on?: While our crew just founded, we are pretty naive. Some big ideas we have include backpacking in New Mexico, island/ beach camping in South Carolina, and white water rafting down the Delaware River. (Plus so much more!) With proper planning, fundraising, and participation, there really is no limit.
